The Surprise Give-Away in New York's Union Square and at the Upstanding Citizen's Brigade Comedy Theatre went extremely well. The people in line to see the next show at UCB were eagerly reading the book—even as the line was moving to go inside. Several interesting and helpful New Yorkers stopped to chat with Tinder in the park.

July 29, 2010 • Patrons of the Upfront Comedy Theatre in Bellingham, Washington were treated to a free copy of Surprise as they exited the venue which was founded by tv funnyman Ryan Stiles. “People who like live comedy are not uncomfortable with sexual topics and four-letter words. They’re just cool,” said Tinder James when asked why she chose that location.

Patrons of Powell’s Books in Portland, Oregon were treated to a free copy of Surprise as they walked out the doors of the famous bookstore on Saturday afternoon, July 31, 2010. “My offer was met with a variety of reactions. Many people were bashful and even blushed when I offered them a book of erotic fiction. Others were very open and inquisitive. In addition to observing the many types of customers near the entrance of the large and busy store, I also discovered that panhandlers work in shifts,” said James.

EroticaRevealed Review • Surprise will be reviewed in the July 2010 issue of EroticaRevealed.com, a publication dedicated to the review of erotic literature by thoughtful, established, well-known critics.

He will also be the Master of Ceremonies at the "1776 Sing Along" and will be the Moderator of the Zombie/Vampire discussion panel "Medical Care For The Undead."

BookExpo America • Surprise will be on display at BookExpo America in New York from May 26-27, 2010 in the BookMasters booth. Each book will have a fluorescent yellow sticker on the front with one of the following messages: Do me in public, Do me on a park bench, Do me on the bus, and Do me with your biscotti. The day-glo double entendres are intended to call attention to the fact that, due to its inconspicuous cover, people can read it anywhere.

MarCon • S. T. Clemmons will be selling Surprise at MarCon in Columbus, Ohio, May 28-30, 2010. He is also donating a copy of Surprise to the charity auction.
